Long awaited Pictures!

Ok....so these are no where near the newest pictures but they are pictures none the less! Theyare out of order...so just enjoy! Here are the kids enjoying the snow last March! They rode around on the top of a golf cart pulled by a 4 wheeler by our neighbor. Noah went kicking and screaming to not play in the snow...as you can tell once he got out there he was really happy!

Here is Noah, Kyle, Ethan and Alex (or at least most of Alex) before we went into the circus. This was Noah's birthday party for the big number 5!

Our cool pirates!

Here is AM's birthday for the big 3! We had it at chuck e cheese's and she was so mad!!! I couldn't even begin to tell you why but she didn't like singing songs and playing for the birthday..tokens and games for her only!

We went camping this past April at Lake Keowee and it was so much fun! We went hiking to find the lake so we could go fishing. I think these two reminded me of the Andy Griffith show and I took the picture while everyone was still smiling!

Silly Caubles!

Easter Sunday...smile!

The kids took pictures in front of the Christmas Tree last year. AnnMarie's doll matches her outft and is just adorable.

This is one of the few leaf piles we had going last fall...the kids loved sliding into them. They have tried making piles this year I am sure to recreate this fun but we don't have that may leaves yet!

Here's a shot of CJ and I in front of our cruise ship on the trip we took last November. We really enjoyed ourselves, other then I kept getting sea sick....and we are really to go back again. Who knows...maybe we won't visit Orlando this year and take a cruise. Can you see the beautiful color of the water? Amazing!

I'm Sorry!

So I just realized that I have at least posted something once every 6 weeks or so...but no pictures! I am so sorry! These kids have grown by leaps and bounds and you haven't been able to see it. Well...I promise I will figure out how to upload the pics after we get back from vacaction next week. Remember I once told ya'll how we like to go to Gatlinburg and take our picture next to the same creek?Well we are going next week and I PROMISE I will post the pic.

We headed up to Sky Top Apple Orchard Sunday and enjoyed picking apples...in. the. rain! It was still fun and I have some great shots on the camera of CJ tossing up the kids and them picking the apples. I think we might have a future cheerleader in the ranks. AM would stay so tight and we not afraid as CJ threw her so high in the air....maybe I can figure out how to post the video...( I wouldn't hold my breath on this one though...hehe)

Since the last post Noah has lost both of his front teeth on the bottom. You wouldn't know it though because the first new tooth has already completely covered the hole! Can we say braces in our future??

CJ is enjoying watching the Nebraska vs Kansas St game...at least right now Nebraska is winning so he is currently enjoying it. We'll see by the end of the game if he's still happy. Noah has officially begun claiming he is a Clemson fan and was able to enjoy his first Clemson game with his daddy! He got to go and watch the PC game thanks to Chris Crist providing tickets! Noah told CJ he wanted to go to Clemson when he grew up and to be honest...Momma is ok with that. That means he'll be close to home...never a bad thing for a baby boy who is growing up way to quickly!

AM has begun to settle into her new school and is ready for me to leave when I drop her off in the mornings. She used to want to carry all of her stuff and keep it right with her but lately she wants me to send it to her room. She wore snow white clip on earrings to school today. She and I watched a college student get her second set of earrings "put in" last weekend and since then she has expressed intrest but not enough to want to get them pierced. I told her it would hurt but just for a minute...she dosen't seem to want to have it done just yet. There is somehing to me about her remembering getting them pierced and picking out her first earrings and it being a "milestone' so to speak. It was a big deal for me...I got to get mine pierced for my fifth birthday. So we'll go when she's ready.

We've been really busy in the back yard. We've had two trees removed and CJ just finished building a "shed". We'll we jokingly call it the "inlaw" suite b/c it is 12 ft x 20 ft. In all seriousness we really could turn it into a "home" if we needed to but for now it houses everything we don' t want in the house and it has become CJ's shop! Haha! We've talked about getting one for a while now and I told CJ that he could build a much nicer building and add to the value of the home for less then what everyone was trying to charge. So here we are. All we need to do now is the siding and I'll post a pic! Having the trees down means that I can now have a real garden that will get the appropriate amount of sunlight, looking forward to the summer and having a garden!

Well folks...Shaneki is tired. I am going to call it a night and promise myself to post again soon!

The first week...

So Noah started school last week. Can you believe it? He's in k5! He also has already missed two days! Unfortunately got sick yesterday at school and had to miss today too because he had a fever yesterday. So...it has been an eventful week. CJ's sister was so kind as to watch Noah on Monday so CJ and I could both work, and my boss was so kind as to let me have off today. I am so thankful that I was *sigh* able to have a day OFF; but not thankful that Noah was sick. He felt great today so I am glad we could spend some quality time together. It's nice to spend that one on one time with your children. We don't do that often enough I think...
We happened to discover today that Noah has a loose tooth! OMG....already? My little boy is growing up by leaps and bounds!
Even though he was out of school today, I still made Noah do schoolwork. I am such a Good Mommy...It really showed me how much Noah really does know and to know that it really won't be much longer before he can read. He is already leaps ahead of what the teacher expected, but I feel this is mostly because he got such a wonderful foundation last year (Thanks Ms. Poeterala) and a great foundation this summer. I know the pace is about to go in hyperdrive so I am glad we aren't starting from scratch. I am sure there are plenty of mommies out there that can attest to this, I am always willing to receive your advice!
Well, here we go...come check out our progress as the year goes on!

One more thing AM says...

I forgot to add perhaps one of the sweetest things AM says, other than how "good looking" I am. Haha. She always offers words of encouragement. The words she most specifically says is "I am so proud of you Mommy". This usually follows after I have done something, like fold the laundry or fix a broken toy. I think it is safe to say she will have the gift of encouraging words and to be honest it sure is nice to hear "I'm so proud of you!" So words of advise...tell someone today, I am proud of you!

Kids say the darnest things

So I thought I would share some of the really funny things (and cute) the kids are saying nowadays...

AM likes to welcome me when I come home by saying "Hey There Good Lookin!" (She earns extra points in my book for this one but mostly because her daddy taught her to say this)

AM always likes to ask each of us, Noah included, "So how was your day today?"

AM asked Nan last week...Can sisters marry brothers? And now she knows they can not, so she told me this week...One day I am going to grow up and get married Mommy!

Noah told me this past week that he has a girlfriend and her name is Madison. He states that she is his girlfriend because she is new at school and he asked her first....(with a smirk on his face might I add...)

Any time you ask Noah how he knows something he will simply tell you, "my brain tells me everything"

Noah told me this morning that God was in the Earth and that we should all love God. He almost has this one right...but is definately on the right track.

AM's latest question is, "what's your last name?" At lunch on Sunday we were all Cauble's which very much upset AM...not sure why...but she thought that was funny.

I know there are a ton more and I will do my best to start writting them down...I will be sad one day if I can't remember all of them so this will be a good way to keep up with those darn kids!
